The obelisk was built by an architect in 1798 and is the oldest building in the Lednice-Valtice area. It was built to make peace between France and Austria in Campo Formio. The obelisk is 23 meters high.

The obelisk is called Facka by the locals. You will even find U Facky on the maps.
